This is a step by step double exposure tutorial using Union App and finishing with Mextures for some dramatic and destroyed texture.  Below are a few tips when trying double exposure edits.

1.  Have fun

2. If you notice the Background picture is not quite a full silhouette and has some lighting on the facial features.  The image also does not have any distracting items in the background  These two elements of the image will make your double exposure more interesting and much, much easier.

4.  The foreground image should be something without multiple distracting elements, if you keep it focused and simple you won't have to edit out the surrounding elements.  Look for contrasting images and the shape of the subject of the photo to determine if it's right for the background photo.  The more you try these the more you'll have an eye for shots that work well together.
